The situation
An engineering services organisation delivering to its own enterprise clients. Which makes this the hardest kind of embedded engineering to do well.
Our engineers sat inside their delivery teams, working on their clients' programmes. Any quality problem lands on their relationship with the end client, not ours. The bar is correspondingly higher, and the trust requirement is absolute.
What we did
We supplied engineers across product engineering and digital programmes, embedded in their delivery structure and invisible to the end client. Mutual no-contact and no-poach commitments were binding on both sides from day one.
How we work with partner firms
01
Inside their teams
Under their brand · in their process
02
No contact with end clients
If one asks for us direct, the answer is no
03
No poaching, either way
Binding on us and on them
04
One feedback channel
Everything goes through their delivery leads
Why engagements extended into new programmes
The discipline that lets this work: zero contact with their end clients under any circumstances, all feedback routed through their delivery leads, no attempt to grow around them. That's why the relationship extended into new engagements rather than ending with the first one.
The shape of it
A small to medium standing team, growing and shrinking with the client's own delivery cadence rather than against a fixed term.
The outcome
A standing delivery relationship rather than a transactional one, with engagements extending into new programmes.
